When the Wright-designed Pope-Leighey house found itself in the path of imminent destruction, the National Trust for Historic Preservation was called in to move and preserve it. Audra Medve was Preservation Manager for the house when she brought in experts to consult on the restoration by National Trust interns and volunteers along with Mary Washington historic preservation students. Ms. Medve will tell us about the interesting history of this house, the complex process of restoring its exterior, and the contribution of UMW students to the project. Sponsor: Carolyn Eldred
