Ruba Marshood, Chief Executive Officer of Indy Reads, oversees the programs, brand, and growth to advance Indy Reads’ vision of literacy for all. Ruba will discuss the state of literacy, particularly adult literacy, in the US and explore why more than 48 million adults in the United States cannot read, write, or do basic math above a third-grade level, what this means for ourselves, our families, our humanity, and our society, and what we can do about it.
